I must say, we have had a beautiful summer here in New England. Yeah, I know we could use the rain, but for once, mother nature hasn't messed with us too bad!
I have my window open in my office getting ready to go down memory lane with the B-52s who are playing across the street at Boarding House Park.
As for miscellaneous shots for tonight, here are some that I took.
This image is an HDR that I took over at the Swamp Locks. The orange reflection on the water is coming off the Freudenburg building. Even though it provided nice color for my photo, I wish they would get rid of the Freudenburg. It is so out of place, particularly amongst that group of mills.
Considering I didn't have a tripod with me, which you really do need to get decent water veil affects, I am pleased with the results. When I do HDR, I normally only take 3 shots, one underexposed by half a stop, the second at normal exposure and the last overexposed by half a stop. For the actual processing of the image, I use Photomatix Pro. I find that some of the HDR images found around the internet can be rather garish. I try to stay away from that look. On the other hand, some folks may find my image too saturated (which I will admit, is!). But we all have our different tastes. I find that I love rich color especially when the colors complement each other.

The light was nice tonight
with the bricks glowing
a warm orange.
Found a interesting stack of
wood over at the Appleton
Mills construction site.
